Tae Kwon Do ("the way of the hand and foot") has become one of the most recognized martial arts on Earth. The art and the philosophies it encompasses provide the foundation for our teaching system. In addition to the combative and conditioning aspects of Tae Kwon Do, the art also provides a number of additional benefits, each governed by the

Five Tenets of Tae Kwon Do:

  • Courtesy
  • Integrity
  • Perseverance
  • Self Control
  • Indomitable Spirit
To put it simply, Tae Kwon Do is a version of unarmed combat designed for the purpose of self-defense. It is, however, much more than that. It is the scientific use of the body in the method of self-defense; a body that has gained the ultimate use of its facilities through intensive physical and mental training. It is a martial art that has no equal in either power or technique. Although it is a martial art, its discipline, technique, and mental training provide the MORTAR FOR BUILDING A STRONG SENSE OF JUSTICE, FORTITUDE, HUMILITY, AND RESOLVE. It is the mental and physical conditioning that appeals to most practitioners.

With programs in four age ranges including, Little Dragons/Dragon Warriors (ages 3 1/2 - 5), Youth (6-14), Adult (15 -), and Parent/Youth, there is a Tae Kwon Do class available for all levels.
